Adding a New Room Type in the Hoteliers.com Booking Engine

This guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to add a new room type and how to manage room descriptions in different languages within the Hoteliers.com dashboard.

1. How to Add a New Room Type

To add a new room type to your Hoteliers.com Booking Engine, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to the Dashboard:

  2. Navigate to Content Management:

    • In the dashboard, click on Content Management and then select Add Room under Hotel Data.
  3. Enter Room Information:

    • You will now see a screen where you can enter the details for the new room type.

Key Fields to Fill Out:

  • Room Type: Enter the name of the new room type.
  • Room Description: Provide a detailed description of the room.
  • Bookings Method: Choose the desired booking method:
    • Hoteliers.com Booking Engine: Guests can book the room directly and receive an instant email confirmation. The booking will also be forwarded to the hotel and, if applicable, to the channel manager or PMS linked to Hoteliers.com.
    • Hoteliers.com Request Booking: Guests can request a booking, which the hotel must confirm manually. These requests will not be forwarded to the channel manager or PMS and must be processed manually.

Important: The Room Type and Room Description must first be entered in English. Once saved, you can add the information in other languages like Dutch.

  1. Save the Room:

    • After entering all the necessary information, click Save.
    • Once saved, you will be able to see the newly created room.
  2. Add Room Facilities:

    • After saving the room, tick the boxes for the facilities that apply to the new room (e.g., Wi-Fi, air conditioning) and click Save Room Data.

Adding Descriptions in Other Languages:

  1. Click on the Room Description dropdown and select a language (e.g., Dutch).
  2. The Room Type and Room Description fields will now be empty. Enter the details in the selected language.
  3. Click Save Room Data to store the information.
  4. Repeat these steps for each additional language.
