Learn how to add, duplicate, and organize pages in your website
Once your website has been set up by the Smarthotel Design Team, you can easily manage your own content using the Smarthotel Editor (https://editor.smarthotel.nl). This CMS allows you to add pages, adjust content, and keep your site organized and up to date.
This guide explains:
-
How to add or duplicate a page
-
How to update the menu
-
How to edit SEO settings
-
How to manage multiple language versions
Tip: Duplicate an existing page
The easiest and fastest way to create a new page is to duplicate an existing page that has the layout and design you like. This way, all styles and widgets are copied, and you only need to replace the content.
How to duplicate a page:
-
Log in to the Smarthotel Editor: https://editor.smarthotel.nl
-
In the left menu, click Pages
-
Find a page you like (for example, an existing room page or information page)
-
Click the three dots next to the page name
-
Select Duplicate
You can now edit the new page without affecting the original.
Step 1: Rename and edit your new page
After duplicating a page:
-
Click the three dots > Rename > Fill in the correct page name
-
Change the Page Name
-
Click again on the three dots > Page URL
Update the URL to match the new content (e.g. /restaurant or /wellness)
-
Scroll down to the Page SEO (SEO settings)
-
Enter a clear SEO Title (Page Meta Title) (this appears in search results)
-
Write a short and relevant Meta Description (what visitors see in Google)
-
-
Click Done
-
Click Publish to make your changes live
SEO Tip:
Keep the SEO Title under 60 characters and the Meta Description under 160 characters. Use keywords relevant to your hotel and the topic of the page.
Step 2: Add the new page to your menu
Your new page is now created, but it's not yet visible in the menu.
To show the page in the main menu:
-
In the left menu, click Pages
-
Drag the page into the Main Navigation section
-
To reorder pages: simply drag them up or down
-
To create a sub-menu: drag the page slightly to the right under another page
Your changes are saved automatically, but don’t forget to Publish to update the live website.
Please find the video below how to add and hide the page on desktop, mobile or both.
Step 3: Edit page content
Now you can update the text, images, or widgets on your new page.
-
Click the page name in the left sidebar to open it
-
Click on any element (text, image, button, etc.) to edit it directly
-
To add new sections use the

Step 4: Translate your new page (if your site has multiple languages)
If your website is available in more than one language:
-
In the top bar, click the Language Selector
-
Switch to the second language (e.g. English or German or another language)
-
Open the page you just created
-
The website is automatically translated, but we recommend to improve the texts by changing it manually
-
Review all buttons, headings, and SEO settings
- Click Republish to make sure the changes are visible in your website
Important:
Each language version has its own SEO Title, Meta Description, and page URL. Make sure to update those in each language.
