How to Add Effective Call-to-Actions (CTAs) to Your Hotel Website

More clicks = more bookings

A call-to-action (CTA) is a clear prompt that encourages your website visitors to take action — like booking a room, viewing an offer, or contacting your hotel. Strong CTAs improve the user experience and help drive more direct bookings.

In this article, you'll learn:

  • What makes a good CTA

  • Where to place CTAs on your website

  • How to add a CTA button in the Smarthotel Editor

  • High-converting CTA text examples

1. What makes a good CTA?

A strong CTA is:

Clear and action-oriented (e.g., “Book now” or “View rooms”)
Easy to spot — visible without being overwhelming
Relevant to the content on the page
Direct and simple — avoid vague phrases like “click here”

2. Where should you place CTAs on your website?

👉 Homepage

  • Main booking button in the hero section

  • CTAs below sections for rooms, restaurant, location, etc.

  • Highlight seasonal offers or special deals

👉 Room pages

  • “Book this room” or “Check availability” below the description

  • Suggest upgrades or similar rooms (cross-sell)

👉 Packages or Offers pages

  • “Book this package” or “Learn more”

👉 Contact page

  • “Send us a message” → links to contact form

  • “Call us directly” → mobile-friendly call button

👉 Mobile version
Make sure key CTAs are visible above the fold (at the top of the screen).

    • Popup or anchor → for advanced scroll or form actions

  7. Choose the style (primary, secondary, or custom)

  8. Click Done, then Publish

💡 Tip: Use distinct styles for different levels of action. For example, primary buttons for “Book now” and secondary for “More info”.
