1. Surcharge Package Based on Room Price

This option allows you to link the availability and pricing of your room rates to a package, while applying a surcharge for the package.

For example, if you want to offer a package that includes a Standard Double Room and a Deluxe Double Room, you can apply surcharges based on the room type. For the Standard Double Room, you might add a surcharge of €25 per day, and for the Deluxe Double Room, a surcharge of €50 per day.

Once set up, the package will show the room rates with the surcharges applied when viewed in the booking module.

2. Managing Package Prices Through Your Channel Manager

Many hotels prefer to manage package rates through a channel manager without making those rates visible under room types. Below is a step-by-step guide on how to set this up:

1. Select the room type that you want to offer for your package and click on Add Rate to this Room.
2. Enter the rate information and conditions, then set the Show rate? option to "No" to hide the rate from being displayed under the room type.
3. Go to your package and select the newly created rate.
4. Under Add this amount to connected rate, enter "0" for each day since you will be managing the prices through your channel manager.
5. Make sure to select the start days for the package under Can start on.

The rate created under the room type will have its own ID. You can provide this ID to your channel manager to link the new rate, ensuring that prices and availability are forwarded correctly. Once completed, the package will be visible in the booking engine and display as intended.

Managing a Package with its Own Price and Linked Availability

This option allows you to link the availability of a chosen rate under a room type but assign a fixed price for the package. This is useful if the package pricing is not directly tied to the room rate.

For instance, if each room type has multiple rates (e.g., a standard rate and a non-refundable rate), you may want to link availability to the standard rates of all room types, while maintaining a specific package price.

1. Choose the room type that you want to display first under the package.
2. Select the start days under Can start on.
3. Enter the total package price under Fixed rate.

This option works best for packages with a fixed price for the entire period. If your package has different seasonal pricing, it’s recommended to manage your prices through the channel manager instead.

To link additional room types and rates:

• Click Link to another rate under the existing linked rate/room type. A new block will be added, allowing you to continue linking other rates or room types.
• Repeat this process until all room types and rates are linked to the package.

Once completed, click on Save Package, and the package will appear in your booking engine as configured.
