This article explains how to use the copy tool and effectively copy restrictions from one channel rate to another channel rate of a connected channel in your SiteMinder Channel Manager.
How to Use the Channel Manager Copy Tool
If you use a PMS, CRS or RMS, then don't use the copy tool. Manual updates will be overwritten by the updates send from your PMS, CRS or RMS.

Go to Rooms and Rates

Select the Rate to Copy From:

- Open the rate by clicking on 'v' and open the room by clicking on 'v' again
- Click on the channel where you want to copy from and select Copy tool from the pop-up.
- In the channel rate name drop-down, select the channel name, room name, rate name you wish to copy to.
- At the Copy options tick the boxes of the restrictions you want to copy.
- Click on the Copy button, to complete the process

- Verify the Changes:
- Once the copy is complete, you can verify the copied settings by viewing the channel rates under Distribution > Inventory.
Important Notes:
- The functionality of the copy tool may vary between channels. Some settings may not be available for copying across certain channels.
