This article explains how you can manually manage your availability, rates and restrictions in your Siteminder Channel Manager.

Important Notes:
If you are connected to a PMS, CRS or RMS, updates are automatically sent to the channel manager. Always check with your PMS provider to understand what updates are being sent. Making manual changes directly in the channel manager for details already managed by your PMS, CRS or RMS could result in incorrect data.
1. Navigation Overview
- Inventory: Navigate to Distribution > Inventory from the menu to access the inventory grid.
- The inventory grid allows you to manage rates, availability, and restrictions for your hotel.
- Date Picker: Select specific dates for your updates.
- Room Rate: View all connected channels for each room rate.
- Restrictions: Select and manage restrictions such as Stop Sell or Min Stay.
- Filter/Search: Filter room rates by room type, name, or channel, or view availability only.
- Bulk Update: Apply updates across multiple date ranges.
- Quick Update: Use the lightning icon to update a value for a specific date range.
2. Update Inventory Grid
You can update rates, availability, and restrictions for a specific day using the inventory grid, which shows 14 days by default. For longer periods or multiple date ranges, use the Bulk Update option.
To update:
- Use the Date Picker to select the days you wish to update.
- Click on the box for the value (rate, availability, or restriction) you want to change.
- Enter the new value. The box will turn green when the update is made.
- If you want to apply this change to other dates or room rates, click the Copy button next to the room rate name.
- Click Save in the upper right corner to save your changes.
Note: You can use the Reset button to undo changes before saving. Once saved, you cannot undo changes and will need to manually adjust again.
Updating Restrictions
Restrictions such as Stop Sell, Min/Max Stay, CTA (Closed to Arrival), and CTD (Closed to Departure) can be managed through the channel manager if the room rate is mapped to channels.
- Select a room rate and click the arrow next to the channel to view restrictions.
- Some channels may not accept certain restrictions, which will be indicated by a “-” symbol.
- Min/Max Stay restrictions are applied "on arrival" for most channels.
- For Booking.com, you can choose between “Length of Stay on Arrival” or “Length of Stay Through”.
To update restrictions:
- Select the days via the Date Picker.
- Choose the restriction from the dropdown.
- Enter the value or tick the box for the restriction.
- Click Copy if you want to apply this restriction to multiple dates or room rates.
- Click Save to apply the changes.
3. Bulk Update Your Rates, Availability, and Restrictions
To apply updates across multiple date ranges:
- Go to Disribution > Inventory and then click on Bulk Update in the upper right.
- Under Set, select from the drop down, what you want to update: Rates, Availability, or Restrictions
- After selecting, under To (right of Set) enter the new value.
- Under Date range, select the period you want to update. If the update applies to non-consecutive periods, multiple date ranges can be created by clicking Add another date range
- Under Selected days, you can tick all days of the week or specific days where this update applies to. This can be set per added date range.
- Under Apply to, tick the room types, rate types and/or channels, you want to update
- Click Save to apply the update.
Note:
- When updating availability, you can only select the room type.
- When updating rates, you must select the specific room rate.
- When updating restrictions, select the room rate and channel. If a channel doesn’t accept a restriction, it won’t be selectable.
4. Update one rate, availability or restriction across multiple dates
- Go to Distribution > Inventory
- Seach for your inventory and date you wish to change and click on the lightning button
- A pop-up window appears called Quick bulk update
- Enter the new value, add the date range (also possible to add multiple date ranges, when update is for non-consecutive periods) and select the days where this update applies to.
- Click on Save to complete the update. After clicking on the save button, the updates will automatically send out to the connected channels.
5. Copy Rates, Availability, and Restrictions
This feature allows you to copy values across multiple dates or room rates within the visible 14-day grid.
To copy:

Go to Distribution > Inventory, click on the cell you wish to edit and enter the new value.

Click Copy and choose one of the following options:
- Copy [update] across: copy availability, rates or restrictions across the row for multiple dates
- Copy [update] to other rooms: copy availability to all other room types for this date
- Apply selected [update] to other rates: copy rates or restrictions to other room rates or channel rates belonging to th same room or rate
- Apply [update] row to other rates: copy the entire row of the rate or restriction to other room or channel rates belonging to the same room or rate

Click Save to apply the changes.
Note: You can also use the Copy tool to copy restrictions from one channel rate to another rate when mapped.
