Designer Tip: The use of color in a website

Color can be utilized in a bunch of ways. It is the most effective way to communicate emotion. By combining contrasting colors on your page we can accent and draw the eye of the visitor to areas that we deem the most important.

A combination of color is called a 'palette'. A choice of two primary colors usually yields the best results. Secondary colors can be derived from these primary colors by adding or removing clarity and brightness.
