Retrieve Credit Card details from the new IBE

If you are using the new version of the Smart IBE and do not have a PCI compliant PMS connected then your credit card details will be found in the new Vault

First of all please note that creditcard details are only available via the vault when they are not provided to the PMS. This is the case when your PMS is not PCI compliant.

If you booking engine looks like this then you are on Version 1 - the old version

If you booking engine looks like this then you are on Version 2 - the new version

To retrieve credit card data, you need a user account creating.  Should you not have an account set up please send an e-mail to support@smarthotel.nl and request a new user account for the Connect Vault Service.

Please note that you are responsible for who does or does not have access to the vault environment. SmartHOTEL is not responsible for the assignment of the verification process and the vault users.

Verifying your Account

Once SmartHOTEL has set up your user you will receive an email to register your account

The link will redirect you to the portal to register

Complete your email address to get a verification code

 

You will then receive another email with the code

After adding the code you can complete your details and create the account

Multi-factor Authentication is also required for additional security

Enter the code in the field and submit.

You now have access to the Credit Card Vault

Using the Vault

Log into the vault using the following URL: https://creditcards.smarthotel.nl/

You will see the following screen

The Card Id can be found in the IBE Studio under the Payment Method of the reservation

Enter this token and the card details returned

Warning: After retrieval, the details will remain visible for 120 seconds. Afterwards, they will be deleted automatically.

Please note that SmartHOTEL is not responsible for the way the hotel stores the Credit Card details after retrieval. We recommend checking our security page for more information.

 

Until when can I check the credit card details?

You can check the credit card details anytime between the book date right up until midnight at the end of departure date (UTC). So when departure date is 1st of September, the creditcard details can be retrieved until 2nd of September 00.00 AM. During this time span, you can check the credit card details only once, for 120 seconds.
If you don't retrieve the credit card details, they will automatically be deleted following the departure date.

SmartHOTEL cannot help you with recovering the credit card details. When they're deleted, they are gone for good.
