Read and set up your email (Microsoft Exchange Online)

When setting up email, we want to ensure that you don't miss out on any messages. Therefore, we recommend following below setup instructions.

Is your domain hosted by Hoteliers.com
In case your domain name (URL) is not hosted with SmartHOTEL, your email is always hosted elsewhere. We recommend to contact the company that manages your email in case of questions.

Is your e-mail hosted by SmartHOTEL, or by another party?
SmartHOTEL offers an e-mail service via Microsoft Exchange Online. Another possibility is to work with an external party. If you have your mail hosted by an external party, we will need a number of details. See article: What information do we need if your e-mail is hosted by another party.


If your e-mail is hosted by SmartHOTEL
The following paragraph assumes that your domain name is hosted at SmartHOTEL. There are 2 possibilities to read your e-mail. You can read your e-mail via Webmail or you can read your e-mail via an e-mail program, such as Outlook.
 
Login to your webmail via Microsoft Exchange Online
If you are on the road or if you do not have access to your email through your email program, you can always log in to your webmail account, see article Login to Microsoft Exchange Online.

Test your email
We recommend that you test your email by sending an email to an external email address (such as your private account for gmail.com or yahoo.com). When you receive the test email, you can reply to that email to see if your incoming email is working.

Optional: Set up your e-mail program on your computer, tablet or phone
It is also possible to set up your e-mail on your computer, tablet or phone. If you need help with this, your system administrator will have to help you with this. Unfortunately, we do not provide support for e-mail programs that are on your computer. However, we do have a number of articles to help you set up your e-mail program:
   

Note: The e-mailservice which SmartHOTEL provides is an internet service, always accessible via webmail. An extra option, is to access your email on your local computer via your email client. The supportservice does not include the setup of the mail client on your local computer, this should always be done by your system administrator.

Setting up email can be tricky. If you have followed the steps above and if you are still unable to use your email, don't hesitate to contact us. We are not responsible for the setup of your mail client, but we're always happy to assist as much as we can!

Former POP e-mail
The POP email service, previously offered by Hoteliers.com, allows you to send and receive email on a single computer. E-mails are downloaded from the server and stored locally on your computer. This service is no longer offered.
