''We are going to send a refresh'' is a sentence you probably hear the support team say quite often. But every time you hear the word ''refresh'' you have no clue what is happening. Let us explain it to you!
Synonyms for the word Refresh: resync, resynchronisation and (data) push.
A refresh is needed when there is a discrepancy or a new connection. In both situations, there is data (availability, rates, restrictions) in SmartHOTEL that is not at the booking site yet. In that case, we will need to send the data that's in SmartHOTEL to the booking site, and that is what we call a refresh!
In some cases, a refresh is needed from the PMS towards SmartHOTEL to make sure both systems are synchronised again.
